"Out of Sight - Out of Mind" - Environmental Consequences of Factory Farming of Chickens in the USA

In collaboration with:

In 2012, Tracks produced an investigative documentary into the environmental consequences of factory farming of chickens in the USA commissioned by Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) USA.

This 20-minute documentary fronted by Leah Garces –President of Mercy for Animals - looked into the human, environmental, and animal welfare consequences of intensive factory farming of chickens in the state of Georgia - America’s hotspot of factory farming.

For the first time in over a decade, our investigators obtained undercover footage of the chicken industry in the US and kick-started Leah’s path to be a leading advocate for chickens in the US in her campaign against the industrial farming of chickens for meat. Read her fabulous book “Grilled” about her journey to make the world a better place for farmed animals.

The film premiered to a packed audience of food writers, chefs, food retailers, legislators, and media at a prestigious launch event in Atlanta, Georgia. To see the film and find out more about the investigation please click here.
